Dam: Floden's Zowie Benelli of the Ridge "Zowie"
"Zowie" is our family dog working toward her Started Hunting Retriever HRC title (she earned her first pass July 13, 2008) and hunts pheasant. She is a 66-pound, blockier-headed lab. Zowie is registered in the CHIC database having OFA Good hips, Normal elbows, Normal cardiac, and CERF Normal for eyes. Her sire, Majestic Oaks Grady Jones, comes from a line of conformation champions and hunting background. Her dam, Sadie Ann Quinn, has The Marathon Man "Marty," the all-time high point yellow labrador, prevalent in her pedigree. Zowie's lineage includes greats such as FC AFC Black Gold's Kates Rascal and 1982 NFC-AFC Westwind Supernova Chief. FC AFC Sergeant Barny Ellsworth is within her four-generation pedigree. She is excellent with children, and her pups will also be socialized by our family's six children aged 12 to 7 months. "Dealer" is a handsome AKC Master Hunter and Qualified All-Age 65-pound male. Some of his littermates are a bit larger in stature with blockier heads. Dealer is a finished, experienced hunting companion proficient in multiple land marks, multiple water marks, multiple marks on water and land, land blinds, water blinds, and double blinds. His sire is Field Champion-Amateur Field Champion Rebel With A Cause and dam Pinehurst's Tall Timbers, whose dam and sire are both Amateur Field Champs and Field Champs. "Dealer" is the personal dog of pro trainer Tim Springer of Dynamic Retrievers. Despite a broken leg as a pup, Dealer rated OFA Good in hips, normal in elbows and also has his CERF clearance for eyes. His four-generation pedigree includes 18 Field Champions, with National Amateur Field Champion Trucmarc's Zip Code and National Field Champion San Joaquin Honcho.
We anticipate these pups to be of medium build, and possess mid-range temperament upon maturity - not hyperactive or couch potato - for hunting/trialing, and also worthy of being a household companion. Floden Farm will temperament test these pups prior to going home to help ensure their temperament is a fit to your family's lifestyle, be it hunting, housepet or a combination. Preference will be given to those participating in AKC or UKC events such as field, agilty, or hunt tests, and hunting homes. The price of these pups reflect the quality of the breeding, continual updating of health clearances, and our time invested. Limited AKC Registration is $650. Full AKC registration with breeding potential is $850. A $50 spay/neuter reimbursement is given once proof of the spay/neuter is received by Floden Farm for unbred pups up to a year in age (this is optional whether you select limited or full registration, but encouraged if you don't plan to breed or show in conformation). We offer a 26-month warranty on our pups' hips, eyes, hearts, and elbows. We also offer paybacks for health certifications and titles your pup may receive -- up to half of the original price of your pup. Please review details under the Warranty section. Shipping to available destinations by plane is a $300 flat fee - kennel and round trip drive to the airport inclusive. (Pups must reach a minimum of 8 weeks of age for airline cargo shipping.) Please email Jennifer or telephone 218-458-2217 between 6pm - 10pm CST. Floden Farm litters in the past have sold quickly -- full litters have been sold prior to whelping. Be sure to make your deposit early! When mailing deposits, please specify Floden Farm Pick goes to order of receipt of deposits. Floden Farm will also assist in the selection of your pup based upon temperament testing and the intended lifestyle of the pup. (A very active and birdy pup may be best suited for hunting or field trials rather than as a housepet with small children, for example.)
Golden Retriever Breedings: For Golden Retriever Breedings, we are currently assessing the trainability of our Horace x Beisia litter. All puppies out of that litter are reportedly doing well, and we may elect a repeat breeding spring 2009 or decide to try a different stud. Pawziah and Teutorix are future prospects once they reach two years of age and have the appropriate health clearances as well. The pups out of this combination will have an incredible pedigree. Please bookmark our website and check back, or you may email us to be notified of future planned breedings.
